Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)/Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos (OCIC)

Catechetical

Led by Fr. Rafael García, S.J., and Efren Loya-Gomez together with dedicated and caring volunteer catechists, our program provides an education in the faith of children, young people, and adults which includes especially the teaching of Christian Doctrine in an organic and systematic way with a view to initiating the students into the fullness of Christian life. 

• First Communion — two years of preparation for ages 7 and above to receive the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist

• Confirmation — two years of preparation for ages 14 and above to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation

• Youth Group — activities for post-Confirmation Youth

• Adult Formation — nine months of sacramental preparation for adults to receive Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation

We accept registration for First Communion, Confirmation, and Adult Formation during the months of July, and August.

• Living in the 79901 area or being a registered Parishioner.

• Attending Baptismal Preparation Classes

• Parent Requirements:

  -Photo ID/Driver's License

  -Child’s Birth Certificate

  Requirements for Single Godparents:

  - First Communion Certificate

  - Confirmation Certificate

  Requirements for Godparents Married by the Church

  - Confirmation Certificate

  - Marriage Certificate by the Church
