Our Program

The Adult Education Program offers different courses for those people who want to improve their personal, economic, or work situation: Adult Basic Education (ABE), GED, English as a Second Language (ESL), Citizenship, and Computer Literacy.

 
 
 

  • Adult Basic Education (ABE) Classes in Spanish for those people who were not able to complete their basic education in Mexico. Students who conclude this program receive an official certificate from the Education Department of Mexico.

  • GED – Courses offered in Spanish in order to prepare students to pass tests and obtain their GED (General Equivalency Diploma).

  • ESL – Multiple levels of English as Second Language courses are offered to students who wish to improve their understanding and fluency of English.

  • Computer Literacy – Courses are offered in order to assist students to gain the ability to use computer skills and related technology efficiently, thus meeting and exceeding thresholds necessary to secure employment.

  • Citizenship Classes – The Citizenship classes emphasize contextualized instruction on the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, naturalization procedures, civic participation, and U.S. history and government and help students acquire the skills and knowledge to pass the test and interview to become US citizens.
