Protecting Children

Protecting Children, Young People, and Vulnerable Adults

The Jesuits and employees of the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province of the Society of Jesus are committed to the personal care of all individuals, especially the young and those adults who are incapable of looking after his or her own rights and interests.

If you believe that you, or someone you know, has been abused by a Jesuit, you are urged to contact the appropriate law enforcement or child-protection agency in the location in which the incident took place.

You are also encouraged to advise the Jesuits by calling Carol Zarinelli Brescia, MSW, LCSW. She can be reached confidentially by phone at 314-915-7168 or by email at ucsoutreach@jesuits.org.

The province is fully accredited by Praesidium, Inc, an organization providing consultation, risk management assessment, policy development, and training materials for use in preventing sexual abuse and responding to allegations of sexual abuse. The province maintains Praesidium Accreditation through periodic audits by Praesidium’s independent auditors.
